Lucas

Lucas, a healthy 9-year-old weighs 68 pounds, and is a mix of German Shepherd and Carolina Dog. He’s a fun-to-be-around and funny boy who loves to be with his people whatever they’re doing, from outdoor activities to inside ones like curling up to watch television. Easy to be with, he gets along with both cats and dogs big and small (he lives with several in his foster home). Smart and responsive, Lucas will benefit from a belly band in the first few weeks of a new home, then adjusts to regular potty visits. He loves his treats and toys, is comfortable left at home in his crate and walks well on the leash (though being leashed sometimes causes reactivity to other dogs). Lucas is energetic, needs a daily walk or trip to the dog park and would be great as a camping or hiking companion. He loves sleeping on his peoples’ bed and loves to go where you go, including riding in a car. Lucas is a loving, happy boy who bonds deeply with his people. A doggy sibling would be a plus. Lucas is indeed a very good boy just waiting for the right forever family.
